The photograph is attributed to Edward Rowland Chadwick, who worked with the Crown Film Unit Studio d. Chadwick was a British colonial administrator in Nigeria, primarily active in the Udi Division, and is noted for his collaboration with the Crown Film Unit on the documentary Daybreak in Udi (1949), as documented in the British Museum Collector Biography.
