NPFL: Victory over Abia Warriors non-negotiable – Akwa United
Akwa United technical adviser, Muhammad Babaganaru says his players are committed to securing maximum points in their clash against Abia Warriors.
Babaganaru stated that his team will have to improve on their performance to achieve their aim in the game.
Akwa United were held to a goalless draw in the opening fixture against Lobi Stars.
“The game against Abia Warriors will be our first home match of the season and we know that it will be a tough game but we are committed and ready to fight for all three points because this is a must-win game for us,” Babaganaru told Akwa Uniteds media.
“We have to consolidate on the one point we picked in Lafia by ensuring that we win on Sunday.
“As we begin this season, we don’t have to leave any stone unturned and we have to hit the ground running from the blast of the whistle.
“We have done a lot of work in the team, we trust that the boys know the importance of starting well and we are optimistic that my players will be in top shape to deliver on Sunday”.
The game will be played at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday.
