Z.R. Dmochowski

Zbigniew Roman Dmochowski (1903-1982) was a Polish architect and academic who dedicated over 20 years to documenting and conserving traditional Nigerian architecture. As the first director of the Museum of Traditional Nigerian Architecture in Jos, he led comprehensive surveys that resulted in thousands of detailed drawings and photographs. His three-volume work, An Introduction to Nigerian Traditional Architecture, is considered the definitive technical resource in the field.
